Oh & my passes arrived this morning

Had our passes this morning for Bakewell.
Im expecting nothing with the dog places but it was cheaper to enter
dogs than pay on the gate

I often enter dogs as you're right, it's cheaper than paying to get in the show :rolleyes:  I've got my pup out now so it will be fingers crossed although he's really hit the teenage ganglies at the mo & both his Mum & Granny are brewing to come into season so hormones to boot as well :D

I've never been to Bakewell before but I'll be there both days.  Bit of a pain as I had to put both of my Spanish into the same class as there are only two classes for import register.

Looking forward to it though, even though I'll be running around with two mad hooligans.  My mum will also be showing her Pomeranian who has just decided to moult and she's beginning to look quite bald :d

Is it tomorrow (Weds) you're showing?  If so can you (or some other kind soul :D ) please give a ground report?  I'm just wondering how slippy the ground is from this weeks rain only my back has gone (don't ask where but if you see it please send it home :D :rolleyes: :D ) & if it's bad underfoot then I need to decide whether it's still worth going.  The weather report for Thursday is supposed to be good so fingers crossed.

I was at Bakewell today and we had to show in the tents because of the rain.  But it was getting quite boggy underfoot in the car parks and on the showground (and we left at 2!) But it is supposed to be about 70 degrees tomoorow so it'll probably dry out. Hope this helps  S

We left at 5.30 and many of the stands were under quite a few inches of rain.  It absolutely threw it down.  Think that you'll definitely need your wellies !

I actually now think I'm going to stay home :(  I really, really want to go but my back has been so bad the last few days & with the weather having been so awful today (although it's supposed to be hot & sunny tomorrow!), I don't know that I'm up to it :(

I've not bathed Twist although to be honest, a brush & he'll be just fine (he'll get filthy going in if it's muddy anyway!).  I'm loaded full of painkillers & if I do go will probably get a huge b@&#$&%#@g :p :D

Oh here's a thought (shush!!!!!) you know my car was playing up?  Well it was the fuel pump that had gone, maybe that's nicked my back & Kath's leg ~ VVBG!!!!!!!!!! :D :D

A Koiker got first and Best Import.  Lastar came second, a Bracco third, Bibi fourth, Carina fifth and a Koiker 6th.  Caprito won his class and got best puppy (shhhh don't tell anyone that he was the only puppy there :d :d)  He was very cheeky and played Lynn up a bit but he's a sweet little thing!  Mr Carina also bounced all around and especially did about 10 minutes before we went into the ring and hit me in the mouth !!!!!

Hee hee naughty Caprito, well done though, Ok so now Im confused if you were handling Lastar who handled Carina  ??????????

Me :d :d  Actually mum held her for me, but he asked us to run round twice at the start, my poor mum !!!!!!!!!!  Then I took both of them in and moved them etc. :d

Went to Bakewell today (judging), it was red hot, the sun shone from 10.00 am onwards.
Really enjoyed the day, some lovely dogs to judge, then set off for home and the car broke down on the M1, south of Sheffield. (RAC think it may be terminal). Had to get a lift all the way home to Newcastle in a Recovery truck!!!!! Looks like I won't be at quite a few shows then, I can't afford a new car!
