Am absolutely fuming.  After 20 mins of having my call queued, got through to someone who was clearly based in India and couldn't understand what I was asking.  He put me on hold for another 10 minutes after which time I gave up and hung up.   I was calling because I've just found out they've put some inaccurate information on my credit file:mad:  Is it just me or does it seem that the more choice we have and the more goods are available to us, the worse everything gets

Hubby had the same thing, he ended up in India too, he put the phone down and re-dialled the helpline this time got Scotland (much closer - I guess) and insisted that he would not be billed for India, they assured him it would be the same rate, but we have yet to see, isn't it ridiculous though, WHAT'S HAPPENING!!!!

France Telecom, who own Orange, bought Wanadoo - the internet company. And since then the call centres seem to have moved and you can't get through to anyone - because they are providing internet support aswell!

I think they have a bloody cheek billing you for the call even at a local rate seeing as it is them that is causing customers to wait for so long.  I have just tried to call again and waited for 25 minutes before giving up   if they try to bill me, I shall withhold the payment.  I also noticed that there is no postal address for their customer services on the website - I finally found it on the Citizens Advice Bureau website

I didn;t think you got charged if you called Orange from your mobile?
- By Rosemarie [gb] Date 13.07.06 20:22 UTC
I hope not - I shall certainly have something to say about it if I do.  Not that I will be able to say it to anyone as I either won't be able to get through or they won't be able to understand my complaint LOL.

All I will say if you are naffed off with any Customer service you get then COMPLAIN

The way to complain is either write a letter or e-mail to the CEO or MD of the company ;)

That way you will get a result ;)

Also if you get an Indian call centre and you can't understand what they are saying, complain :) Ask to speak to a manager :) Don't spend your time trying to make them understand :) The Managers in the call centres are and should be able to help :)

Trouble with Orange is they make it as difficult as possible to complain! You can't get through on the phone, there's no postal address on the website, and the "contact us" thing says that they cannot discuss customers' accounts via email "for reasons of confidentiality".  Instead they ask you to ring a number with an automated survey where you press numbers to "rate" their customer service.  Needless to say, they did not score very highly...  But I have tracked down the postal address and written to them.  Am particularly hacked off (hence the call to customer services) as have just got my credit file from Equifax prior to arranging my mortgage and Orange have put some wrong information on it. I've never come across such incompetence in my life.  Surely customer services is the area of business that particularly requires good communication skills - yet they outsource and employ people with inadequate English.
I feel like I am turning into my mother (ie. a serial complainer) - this is the fourth letter of complaint I've written this month (though as I commute between Yorkshire and the Midlands you can probably guess which industry the other three letters were aimed at!)

If you look under terms and conditions on their web site and scroll down near the end you'll see their postal address.  They don't make it easy to find, but I'm not one to give up, so for those who need to write to them their address is below (my advice is make sure you send all correspondence by recorded delivery and keep a copy)

Orange company details
