Right as mentioned in a previous thread my GSD bitch is in season again...not worried about her, scatty little minx as usual, its the dog. Since the bitch being in season, he wont eat any of his dinners, his been fine when we have been at work, just had a couple of days off though and he hasnt touched a thing, hopefully ill persuade him with some tasty tit bits when we r at work again 2nite...just wondered if anyone else with both sexes had experienced this to?

Regards

Nicci

Unfortunately it can happen, my youngest boy who has never been used loses a lot of weight when my girls re in season.  Luckily I swapped my girls over early thiss time round and he doesn't seem to hvae dropped the weight tht he has done prevously.

(Sorry about my missing a's, s's and I's !!)

Can you not have someone else look after him for the next few weeks until your girls season has finished?

I don't have two dogs, but due to hot weather my dog has been off his food a little, i have to add gravy to his second bowl to get him to eat.

It's very common, especially in younger dogs. Often they get better as they grow older and realise there's no point in pining ALL during the season. :)
