Topic Dog Boards / General / Boarding Kennels - devon, recommendations?

I have to put my 7 month old labrador in kennels for one night at the end of the month and have found contact details of many kennels nearby but I'd prefer it if someone on here could recommend one that they've been happy to use.

I have asked neighbours and friends and, much as she is gorgeous, they don't seem keen to have Poj jumping about for the night.  I guess it's good practice for her to go now in case we ever go on holiday and can't take her.  I've contacted the people who take the dog from your house and look after her in their home, but they wouldn't let me meet the people who'd be looking after her.  Besides which as you have to pay a membership fee and a collection fee on top of the nightly fee it would cost a fortune for just one night.

I live near Cullompton which is north of Exeter.  Would be very grateful for any replies.

This is a very good kennel and although not in Devon it is probably at the most an hour from you and I can really recommend them. If you look at the case studies page, my dog is Lucie. She had 22 sessions of underwater treadmill therapy there and they are really caring dog people. The facilities are first class and reasonably priced. The dogs boarding seem really happy and all the girls give them lots of cuddles.

Best wishes
Linda
