i have a l/w e.s.s.  dog who is getting yellow staining on his lovely white feathers under his tummy more than likely it,s where his urine is staining his coat .Is there anything i can do to prevent and treat it?

I haven't tried it, but I understand the grooming spray called Ice on Ice coats the hair so as to avoid staning. I've also heard Gwen say that urine staining could be removed by using neat Fairy Liquid and leaving it on for quite a few minutes before rinsing.

So I'd try the Fairy Liquid, then spray on the Ice on Ice, then cross your fingers.

There's something called 'The Stuff' which is quite good for reducing staining - my Cavalier does the same thing. You can get it at champ shows, but I'm afraid I can't remember which stall!

Hi Welshie, you will certainly get Ice on Ice at SWKA. Hub will have it, as will Petcetera. It's by Chris Christensen, a white spray bottle with blue writing.
