Just a quick question!
Are RCC & CC winners allowed to compete at ringcraft matches?
Thanks.

No CC winners, not sure about RCC.

Would depend if the club is KC reg or not aswell....
RCC winners are allowed to compete, we checked with KC before entering CC winners and JW winners not allowed
Peanuts

Seems strange about teh JW winners as I would have thought a RCC a higher award. Both give you stud book entry.

I would've thought a RCC better than a JW. If the CC winner gets disqualified, you get the CC. There's nothing like that for JW's!

At our ringcraft you are not allowed to compete in the match if you have a stud book number........ which rules out CC, RCC and JW winners.

that's interesting to know (not that it applies to us) but I was wondering as such last night at our ringcraft match as I know someone there had just made up a champion and I was wondering if champions could enter. Anyway, now I know - thanks.

For "proper" match nights (i.e. notified to KC, and are one on one elimination rounds), dogs with CC's cannot enter. However, if your club holds "competition" nights, these are different, and it's up to the society to make their own rules. "Most" people with dogs with CC's etc, would not enter, but some still do! Sad really!

Our normal match nights are judged on handling, so we take whatever dogs we want. But when we have inter-club match nights they are judged on the dog, so we can't take CC winners. Not sure about RCC I'm afraid.

As well as dogs with CC's breeds that don't have a KC interim breed standard are also not allowed to enter, that's why my Club decided not to go by the KC approved route as there were a couple of breeds at the time that didn't have an interim standard!
