Hi all you horsey lot. Am about to buy some clippers and need some input. Will be clipping my horse and thinking of clipping a few friends horses aswell so need a heavy duty type clipper. Needs to be mains powered. Was thinking of the Premier 3000. Has anyone used it or heared anything good/bad about it?
Many thanks, Aimi.

I dont know which kind I use but they dont have a wire so you can clip anywhere. Especially good for nervous ponies as you can follow them round without getting tied up!!

I second that, we had a horse which was fine to be clipped near his own stable, but woe betide you if you tried to do it anywhere near the barn and power socket :-)

I have the Heiniger Handy Horse Clipper - I think thats what they are called and they are fab.  I can clip 2 horses - blanket or trace (so they are fiddley clips) one after another and the clippers are barely warm.

www.peasridge.co.uk

is a company who sell all types of clippers and they do a write up on each clipper.

Good luck
