Hi all, I'm being driven mad by a window constantly popping up every time I use Internet Explorer trying to get me to download Win Antivirus.  Doesn't matter if you click on cancel or the x, it starts running anyway!  Even if I move it to the bottom of my screen and ignore it, it seems to start running after a certain period of time!!  I already have pop ups blocked but this one seems to keep coming - anyone any ideas how I can get rid of it before the men come in the little white van? :D

I have had the same problem.  Just don't click on the cancel only the X seems to work for me, and sometimes I have to shut Internet explorer windows and start again.  It is spy ware in the system, just can't be bothered to root it out.

Tried the x, still starts running aaarrrggghhh! :D  Maybe I'll see if Ad Aware can pick it up.  Thanks Brainless.

Sounds like the malware I inherited on my co-worker's old laptop. I downloaded the Microsoft spyware removal/blocker tool and that got rid of it. It's free, it's called Defender and you can get it here.
