I used green-lipped mussel with apparent good effect for my terrier's early arthritic relief.  It seems to help for several years but towards the end she was given Cartrophen injection as the green-lipped was proving insufficient.  Can't remember the dosage as such but I bought a 5 capsule a day for humans jar from Holland and Barrett and gave her one a day.  Not sure of glucosamine, it may me very queazy, no reason to assume it would have been the same for the dog but she had a delicate digestion so I never risked it.

They are very nice stuffed with crab and served with a cream sauce as a starter too

:D  Shell fish isn't my cup of tea but it is my Hubbies.  They have appeared on our local chinese restaurants menu and he has had them a couple of times, they are massive aren't they?:cool:

I know someone off another forum uses this and she swears  by this for her lab.
