Haven't watching it in years :)  I can remember when I was a teenager thinking I would never not know what was number one haven't had a clue for ages if fact do they still have charts? :) I believe we don't have discs anymore

End of an era. :( I used to be glued to that on Thursday nights. (I think it was followed by Alias Smith and Jones, then Monty Python. A great evening!) Music-buying has changed so much I think it was inevitable. :(

How sad, it was a 'must see' on Thursdays, and if not it had to be videoed to watch at a later date

That's when OH and I realised we were getting old, when we switched off ToTP in preference for Gardeners World. :D

TOTP, Pans People, Tony Blackburn, Jimmy Saville - :P :P

Youngsters have a variety of music channels to choose from now.  Perhaps ToTP lost touch with its audience and didn't move with the times.  These days the only music programme I like to watch is Jools Holland's.

I must be a youngster then because I watch the T4 Popworld  :D

Not as funny now Simon and Micheala dont present T4 popworld (HOW did he get away with some of the things he said!! ROFL he was brillllllliant)

Oh yes they were good :cool: Also if I haven't watched the omnibus of Hollyoaks on Saturday afternoon I am sometimes allowed to slob in bed on a Sunday morning

Legs 11 Gary Davis, DLT Mike Reid etc. was my era - but agree it isn't the same - the times we have watched with the girls some of the music has been very dull - must be my age!!

Oh no, just when it was getting better again. boo hiss

I don't think there is much of a place for it now with MTV and the popularity of music videos.

Yep i agree, i also i dont think the chart has much influence on people music taste now. And i know i would much rather watch the video on the internet that watch something like TOTP and hope that it comes on.

I agree - it is rather dated now - MTV is much better IMO :D

Ah the good old days me and my three sisters dancing behind the settee to pans people:rolleyes:

Oh what a shame.....seems ages ago I danced round the room to Pans People....laughing watching the likes of gary Glitter (uck wheres my gun) Alvin stardust mud and Slade, Showadywaddy, trying to mime and not making it :) Platform shoes to fall off, swirl skirts, the dept headmistress measuring girls skirts at school to make sure they were no more than 2 inches above the knee....oh all the memories of one TV show :)
