This is probably a really daft question, so i am posting it here where noone can see my face  My niece has got chicken pox, will this affect my dog if he has contact with her ? I know dogs dont actually get chicken pox but i didnt know if they would affect him in any way. My niece has a massive love of merlin and if you arnt watching or not quick enough she will share things like food with him. Merlin also has a strange affinity with dummies since we brought him home last year and my niece gave him hers when he was tiny, which he actually sucked. Would it by wise to keep them seperate? My sister phoned and asked if i could take him out to cher her up as she is feeling sorry for herself.

Oh bless her. Chicken Pox is awful in children. It won't affect your dog at all and it will probably make her day - oh bleeeess her

Didnt affect ours when the kids had chicken pox. Wouldnt believe this, but the youngest caught it and the spots came out on the first day of the summer holidays, 2 weeks to the day the eldest had the first spot :( Was a fantastic summer..........not ;)

my 4 all had it 11 days apart from each other- which is the incubation for it so we had 4 in a row!
