How can they stop smoking outdoors    The law is in "enclosed public areas" - but enclosed by walls, not fencing off a field ;)

I don't know but it's on the passes they sent. As the show is attended by a large number of the general public then it's the law. The show committee haven't enforced it but they say they're hands are tied. Luckily you park your cars behind whichever marquee your benched in so I can have a sneeky in the boot if I'm really desperate.
All I find is it is illegal to smoke in marquees but in terms of outside it is up to the local authority at shows but cannot be enforced by the law. Interesting one.

Think you'll find a *large number of the general public* will not be so enamoured by anyone trying to enforce a rule that doesn't as far as I know breach the new Act - it's hardly the same as, for example, a football or other semi enclosed sports arena
