Hi
Does anybody know of a Skin Repellent that I could use on my dog?
Everytime I take him to the park or where theres any grass when he comes back he has small lumps that look like bites over him.
Thanks:cool:

If it is insect bites, then I would have thought that Frontline or something similar would work.  Years ago, I used to use Nuvan Top for this purpose, my dogs used to get bitten by insects on their tummies when they were lying on the grass, eating their bones.  Don't think it exists any more now, though.  However, it could be a reaction to the grass itself.

Hiya
I think your probably right about the reaction to the grass as I use Frontline combi on him.
Do you know if there is any remedy to help prevent this apart from keeping him from the park:eek:
He has short hair and looks awful..it doesn't seem to bother him most of the time but he's just got over a skin infection which was really nasty and the Vet said an allergy could have caused it. This really did drive him mad..he has had to wear a head collar for the past 3 weeks as he was scratching the affected areas so much causing it too bleed. Hasn't been a happy boy collars driving him mad:rolleyes:

Might be worth asking your vet about using Piriton tablets.  My poor GR used to live in those awful collars in the summer until I tried Piriton and found it made a big difference.

Hi Annie ns
I will give my vet a ring in the morning regarding the piriton. I haven't taken him to the park for the last few weeks as I didn't want to aggravate his skin problem and his coat was really looking nice but we went training yesterday and now he has a few bumps over him. This is really new to me although I have had a couple of Dobes before I never had this problem and to be honest didn't know it existed:eek:
Thanks:cool:
