Hope someone can help me with this.
We are moving to Germany in October (hubby forces) and I would like to continue showing over there. I emailed the KC to find out how I go about this but they told me to contact the German KC which I did but never heard anything from them. Does anyone know what I need to do? I know about the passport side of things. It's the registering side of it that I'm unsure of really, do I need to get export pedigrees from our KC?

Well I would get the export pedigrees, and then find the website for the German KC, and see if you can't download the info.  I looked up the Spanish KC and managed to find the pages in English so you might find the same.

We register (including all Continental Europe) our dogs with FCI, so I think you definitely need an export pedigree made. I assume you already had your dog's blood tests done and a pet passport made ;).
As for showing itself..... there's not much of a difference, though we are a bit more strict about docking our dogs. There are some judges that will not accept docked dogs in the ring.
I have a similar problem, but the other way around...... I am moving to UK in July and bringing my European dog with FCI reg. papers. Hopefully I will continue his showing career there.

Oh and I forgot..... you'll LOVE Germany!! Dogs can go pretty much everywhere!

Thanks Ory, Yes they have the passports done. I don't have to worry about the docking thing as mine aren't a docked breed. I know a lot of people that have lived in Germany and they all loved it so hopefully I will too.
