 Hi My 5 year old Gsp girl has recently been mis-judging the first step of our stairs. She does go at everything at a rush like there's no tomorrow-but it's as if her right front leg "gives way"...There's no sign of any strange gait when walking or running but when she lays down on her tummy this front leg is always bent back at the "knee". I don't wish to have to take her to the vets to be pumped with anitibiotics or  anti-inflammatories unless absolutely necessary..  Just does this sound familiar to anyone ...Cheers ...

I'd take her to the vet just to find out what is wrong, you can always negotiate what / if she needs any drugs, but at least you'll know the problem.   The other thing is to stop her using the stairs until you do know what is wrong - stairs can make any leg problem worse!
