Hi
Just wondered if anyone has any good ideas or recommendations for scurfy coat
Bath my staffie with Greenfields dog shampoo and the last two times have noticed dandruffy coat for few days after tried brushing it out and probably makes it worse....anything i can put on him after or in the final rinse water...
Dont wash him often but yesterday he went swimming in a dyke with thick black mud in the bottom.....pff

I always use ExmaRid, it is based on a coal tar and therefore is kind to skin.  However, it could be the food that he is on, my friends GSD's had a terrible dandruffy coat until she changed their food, now she has it fully under control.

Did you dilute the shampoo with water before you used it?? Sorry if you already know this...but if you mix it with a jug if water before applying it stops the streak of dandruff!! Sometimes when I've taken the girls to the groomers you can tell which have used the shampoo properly and which haven't. All the best, Dawn

Definitely dilute the shampoo(might pay to try another brand),always use a good conditioner and add a cup of organic apple cider vinegar to the final rinse water(do not rinse off),this restores the correct PH of their skin or something like that...
