Can anyone recomend a suitable muzzle for a lhasa apso?
Hi, the muzzle is needed because my lhasa has bitten a relative who was staying at the house. I have two children who are aware that the dog has aggressive possessive tendencies, and would never handle the dog when he has something in his mouth that he values. The visiting relative tried to pick the dog up while he had a bone in his mouth. I am now concerned that he may bite other visitors to the house. I was hoping to get a muzzle that will be comfortable for him to wear on a regular basis. Because a lhasas muzzle is so short i am having problems finding a muzzle short enough.

In the meantime is it not easier to remove the bones when he is not supervised by you. I never leave them down permanently as they may splinter and cause damage to the dogs mouth or bowel. Does he have an area he can call his own where he can get away into a crate or under a table where he will not be disturbed. Like us they value their down time.

I used to have a fabric muzzle in the grooming parlour for short faced breeds that worked very well. I've searched the net and can't find anything.
How about ringing the secretary of the breed club and see if they can help?
