Im wondering if there is anyone in the Shrewsbury/Oswestry area who has friends dogs who would be willing to go for a few walks to help me re-socialise one of my dogs again?

He had a few set backs as a pup which lead him to be fearfull round other dogs - with time and gradual introducation to other dogs he will then accept them and be a normall dog but for a number of reasons (mainly moving house/areas) he hasnt been walked with another dog for almost 2 years but I think its about time I got back into working with him again - so am looking for people who would be willing to help as we dont know anyone in the area with dogs who would be suitable.

try calling a local dog trainer- he/she maybe has the perfect dog to socialise nicle with yours....

i live only 40 mins away in mid-wales but my dog wouldnt be suitable sorry

We're down in South Shrops - about an hour from Oswestry and Shrewsbury. I would be really happy to go for some walks with you .. we have a 10 month old puppy who needs to do a bit more socialising too! The only prob is I don't have a car, so I'm afraid you would have to come down here. We're in the hills near Clun, though, so there are some fabulous walks. We have 2 lurchers - the puppy and another 6 year old. The latter is a bit guarded at first (she's had one or two scares too), but is very friendly once she knows there's nothing to fear! The puppy adores other dogs (can be a bit of a pest since she wants to lick them all over!) .. again once she's happy they don't pose any threat. What sort of dog do you have?
