You may remember my thread about the freezer and smoked haddock.....

Well, there was a large turkey in the top of the freezer, and we decided that as we'd better thaw it out and eat it this weekend/next week

It is sitting in the utility room in the sink now, waiting to go into the oven - and its really, really surprising how the dogs are queuing up to go into the utility room - normally they go in rather reluctantly because they might be missing something going on in the rest of the house!   We've decided that they want to keep the turkey company :D :D :D

They sound really interested in the turkey Margot
It reminds me of the way my little Bonnie used to sit by the oven door but only when there was liver cooking, iit was almost as if she was glued to the oven.
Hope you enjoy your turkey dinner  thats of course if you get to it before the dogs do the little darlings:cool:

LOL

Last time I cooked turkey the dogs guarded it with their lives :D :D  all the time it was defrosting they watched over it in case the postman or some other marauder took a fancy to it :) and then while I was preparing it they watched me in case I pinched some :) and then when it was in the oven they wouldn't budge from the cooker - except when they were reminding me to baste it so it wouldn't get dry :D    They couldn't believe it when they had to wait until we'd eaten to have some themselves   But I wouldn't want them to burn their little mouths now would I? :D :D :D :D
