just got a caravan and there is an electric water pump on the inside and on the outside of the caravan there is the waste hose hole and next to it the clean water hose hole, now i have not had a caravan before with water, i am trying to ask this question without sounding stupid LOL, now the waste is not a prob i have this hose , but what about the fresh water there is no where to plug the electric pump in that i have seen at all the caravan accessorie shops, there is only a hole where you stick a bit of tubing in ?
how does this work ?
will it all run off my leisure battery ?
if it does can i just buy the piping that goes into the fresh water with out a motor attached to it.
i hope i have explained this ok, if not please ask me more questions and i will try and explain what i mean.
thanks carolann

What van do you have ie is it an avondale for example also if you know the model that will help some people might even have the same van. Also what age is the van? Our last van was an ace maurader 1988 and the pump hose fitted to the inlet and had a separte wire/plug that fitted to the outside of the van. (not always noticeable) Some of the early models didnt have this wire and was a foot pump near the sink to bring the water in. Hope this helps.
i have a foot pump near the sink and in the bathroom as well

oh and on my way out to look what type of van it is now
Does your caravan have an on board water container?
The caravan we have at the moment took a bit of getting used to as you pump water from outside into a container underneath the sofa seats and then water from here is pumped around the caravan via a different switch - very confusing compare to our old clapped out thing!
