I need some help quick!
I have bought some liver and am in the process of making some liver cake, but i would also like to make some pure liver treats too. Does anyone know how i make liver treats in the microwave? Do i just put the liver and nuke it till it looks done?

I've only ever done it in an oven, just baking the liver, so I would assume you could use the baking setting on a microwave to do it, but I don't know. My dog LOVED them and I like to make her liver treats like this whenever I get around to it!

Boil the liver until it is cooked Chop up into small pieces & spread out on the turnable & microwave on full until they are "crunchy" Turn them every few minutes & check "cook" all over

Rjj loves em-well all the dogs I meet love them

I Zit up ! chicken skin in the micro !  Just lay skin on kitchen paper fold over so its a parcel
and zit it on high for about 1-2 mins. let it cool an it becomes chicken crisps.
We go mad for it, can smell it {{{doing }}}} ping! give it a try!

When I make liver treats for shows, I add a few ( i.e. many :-D ) cloves of garlic to the water I boil the sliced liver in. When the liver slices are cooked through, I cut them into small cubes. They go in the oven well spead out, on very low heat, just to dry up on the surface, while still being soft inside. My dogs are never so easy to stack as when I use liver at a show, they absolutely love it. :-)

I also make liver treats.  I use lamb's liver, gravy granules, mixed herbs, dried flour or oats and an egg.  Cook liver (either fry or in oven casserole dish) add a little water, herbs, granules for 20 mins approx.

Chop up to buggery into a blender is best. Add egg and oats (or flour) to make a gooey paste. Put little heaps on to baking tray and cook for about 20 mins on gas mark 5 (grease the baking tray).  When cool, put into plastic container in freezer. Just take out daily amounts as needed.

He thinks they're yummy, and they're much healthier than anything shop-bought!

Watch the gravy granules, they're not as 'healthy' as you might think - full of nasty additives :(

Thanks everyone! I've just spent a thrilling evening making liver treats and liver cake. Somehow i think i need to get out more! ;-) THe dogs will love them though so its worth it if i get a decent recall, heelwork etc !

You can get liver treats from Barker and Barker but I bet the real thing is tastier. Trouble is I'd end up eating the liver leaving none for the dogs.:-)
