We got a Scottish Terrier as a friend for our Staffie and he's 5 months old now - he's a great character and follows our Staffie and us around everywhere but I have one question our Scottie Sam loves water - we've had to rescue him from various ponds and when every we take him any where there's a stream (or muddy puddle) he just jumps in with no fear but when I mentioned this to a friend of mine they told me to be careful as Scotties swim like a brick !!!!!! - Is this true

I can't answer about Scotties but if you were really worried you could book a fun swim at a hydrotherapy pool. The place I go let's you bring your dog in for fun. He could go in with a life jacket and if that went well go in without the jacket. Then it would be controlled and you could easily get him out if he got into trouble.
