I did a quick search but not the answers I need :)
I have someone who had a pup from me who is due to be wormed and their vet gave them the panacur tablet form wormer. Now I have heard quite a few stories re young pups (under 7 weeks) being very poorly after and some even dying due to the reaction of the paste wormer and I therefore wanted to check if the same applies to the tablets for pups over 10 weeks?
I always have Milbemax or drontol so am unsure.
Your advice is appreciated ;)
Cheers
I've always used Panacur paste and never had problems, although I've heard that some breeds have had prob's. in the past.
Yeah, I always did use it until I heard bad reports so decided to keep clear but would think that she will be ok due to being much older and stronger.

Hi Kelly
I have also heard bad reports on panacur (making puppies ill). Ive always used Drontal and have to say ive never had a problem with it.
Helen :)
Hi Helen
Yeah I am a bit concerned as that little pup dog that was recently in the vets took ill the day he was wormed with drontol but I think that was purely coincidence so I have not idea what to advise but the vet told this couple that the panacur is the mildest form of wormer???/ I don't know what to do LOL!

Kelly, if its any help, Maddie had the panacur paste as the vet said it was the best one for her (and you know her history) ?
Dee xx
if you mean panacur favourites tablets- then whenever i have dispenced them in past ive never had anyone come back and say their pup had become ill after it.

I use Panacur liquid, it was Drotal that made my dogs ill  Seems different dogs react to different wormers in different ways ;)
