Hi

Just been to my vets to finally get my dogs hip score, although I had been given the final score over the phone a couple of weeks ago.

My vet is unhappy with the score and is shocked that my dog scored so high, how am I best appealing?  Also not sure whether I'm too late now as it took over a week to arrive at the vets, then my vet was away on holiday and the other vet wouldn't let me see the results as she wanted me to see the vet who did it.

I remember some time ago being advised of someone who will look at x-rays etc. and give you advice on them.

As my dogs been used and there are numerous offspring in Europe most of whom have good hipscores I would like to see if his hips aren't as bad as shown on his BVA score.

I believe you have about a month or six weeks to appeal, best contact the BVA asap, though you should ahve had a leaflet with your results.
