Just on the way back from a walk and as per usual the girls we very wet and muddy  There was a young chap walking a Lucky the More Than Dog lookalike so I let the girls say hello :)

He asked how come they were wet and explained that they had been in the brook. He then asked where it was. I explained where this walk was and he was surpised. I then asked him if he knew some of the other walks I go on and his reply was no as he was new to the village as he moved in about 6 months ago :eek: He then said were the girls Labs and replied yes :D He then said I he used to have one but we got rid of it because it chewed the sofa :rolleyes:

Ho hum :)

that sounds like a girl I worked with, she'd had a relationship breakdown and had a young staffy.  I was very sympathetic towards her and suggested training classes, dog walking all sorts to help her to keep her dog.  She tried to sell it on Free-ads despite me suggesting her finding a specialist Staff rescue, or phoning round the rescues.  I lost sympathy when I found out she had owned a gsd x  that she palmed off somewhere when it was 6 months old because they - as the couple - couldn't cope.  some people never learn.

I still can't believe he has been here six months and doesn't know any of the usual walks here

I am currently despairing of OH's parents neighbours....

Last year they acquired a Dalmation X ?? pup. They live on a very quiet country lane and made no effort to train/exercise/socialise/contain the pup and it was pretty much left to its own devices every day whilst they were at work and had freedom to roam wherever it pleased. A couple of months ago the dog bit a a passer by as he was walking along the lane - no provocation, the dog just flew out of the driveway and bit the person :( The person did not report the attack and the owners decided it might be wise to contain the dog. Two weeks later, on a rare occasion that the dog was being walked, it attacked another person. This time, it was reported...the dog was PTS and the injured party is claiming off the owners.

Less than a month after their Dalmation X was PTS, they got a Weimeraner puppy :(

Good grief!!! If I got rid of a dog everytime it destroyed anything I'd have been through about 20 dogs by now!! LOL Storm is a one woman destruction team...gates, doors, bike saddles...I wouldn't mind but she's hardly ever left, only shopping etc, or the odd night out! She's even got Cassie for company, but darend't leave the wee boys with her as they might make a nice snack!!! LOL He's obviously the same type of Sunday driver syndrome...has a dog and only takes it out once a week... sad aint it? All the best, Dawn X
