this may seem a silly question but does anyone feed canned dog food i.e. pedigree chum, pal, bounce etc. the supermarket is stacked with it so someone must be buying it. If not why, whats wrong with it?  Our pet dogs have always eated this type of food with a biscuit mixer and always lived long healthy lives. your comments please.

Like you say the supermarkets would not stock it if people did not buy it.  Some dogs prefer it and some dogs like dry.  I used to feed Chappie but my dog did not take a full tin at a time and I got a bit fed up with having half a smelly tin sitting there in my fridge so sought something suitable in dried but I had no complaints at about the food itself.

My Papillon is fed on Winalot canned. It is the only food that suited him. With anything dried but soaked he got terrible bouts of inverted sneezes, with some other brands of canned he got allergic reactions with scabs and sores. With Winalot his body is perfect and his coat wonderfully shiny. :)

I'd say the main reason a lot of people don't feed canned is because it is more expensive. It costs me as much to feed my tiny  3 kg Papillon as it does to feed my large dogs of 30-40 kgs.
