OH has decied he wants to feed raw tripe and packed me off to the friendly local abbottior. Not knowing what size tripes were i breezily asked for 'about 4'. When the man and his son carried out four
enormous bags i was a little concerened but didn't want to lose face and just asked them to put them in the boot.
Well, they filled the boot of my estate car and stunk out all of it. My children were crying in the back as they were very close! I drove home and sheepishly told the OH that i thought i had got too much.......
I left him at home with the tripes and quickly went to town :D
When i came back he had washed them in the bath

and had them cut up into smaller bits on the washing line, the garden fence, the dog run........
He spent the rest of the evening cutting it up and bagging it. Next was the task of fitting it all into our (normal size) freezer. We got it all in eventually.
After about 3 days the smell from the freezer nearly knocked you over as you went past the kitchen and i refused to open the door. I was told (by OH) not to be so 'soft' and get used to it. About a week later it got so bad we had to investigate, a bag had slipped and pushed the door open at the bottom so it wasn't sealed. All the bags at the bottom had defrostred and gone off

We had to put it out in the field for the foxes. And bleach out the freezer; repeatedly. Now almost a month later the smell has gone....almost
PAH freeflow for us now and after the palaver before it smells fine to me!!!
