I have to dress up in fancy dress soon but being on the plump side am struggling for an ideal well anymore than the one I have got.

I always wear black for obvious reasons so I thought I would go as a nun.. my personality fits it well :-D

I saw this on e-bay but would rather have one made a bit more substantial..it looks a bit stretching and clingy.. what do you think? I need to find out if I can get someone to make it.

Mmmm, bit corny.  I liked this one, appologies if it is too big, I think it is a bit more glam and you could do things with your hair, no chance with a whimple. It is a party :)

I like isabels suggestion.  My Mum's quite "beefy" but she can carry off white.  The greek option has a long top which always helps and a long skirt.  Infact out of the pictures the black nun looks....not as good as the white greek goddess. IMO  Also there is a glam factor....fancy dress, the chance to glam up and what better reason for people to treat you as you are!!! :D

Why not go as little Bo Peep? You could wear a big blue dress which would hide anyflabby bits or you could be the sheep and put lots of cotton wool on you. I did this at a fancy dress at our horse show - I was Bo Peep and my little black Shetty was the sheep! (Black sheep that is!!)
