my boxer bitch has been really itchy for the past few days. im taking her to the vet in the morning, she has been before with this complaint twice before and got steroids which cleared it up.
im not sure what causes the itch, but she has recently been changed to a raw meat diet and has had nothing but chicken.
could this be a diet problem or any environmental allergy?
any advice/opinions appreciated

Could be either, some dogs are allergic to chicken and I have one that has food allergies which causes him to scratch like mad if fed the wrong thing.
But enviromental factors can cause it as well.

Hi there

There is a very good remedy for dogs that over heat and get very itchy the old fashioned understanding was that the blood was overheating.  Bathing in espon salts is great antihistamine as to is witch hazel try one of these as an immeditate reliever and  then try an aloe vear based shampoo it has to be a high amount of aloe. I have bought a good aloe shampoo from a show from a forever living products rep and it was excellent and makes the dogs coat lovely and shiney too.  Hope this helps
