Hello all,

Tizzy finished her 1st season about 12 days ago and I just wondered how long it is likely to be before her teats go down to normal again. I've looked in all my books as a reference but its been a while since i had a bitch in season (Isla is 8 now!), and she never seemed to have this issue. I know that all bitches are different, i suppose i'm just a bit over anxious about it
Because Tizzy's hair is not very dense in that area, her nipples seem very very prominent. Am i just being daft?  I seem to remember that i shouldn't get worried unless she's the same in about 4 weeks'ish?
Before anyone asks the question, she is very, very definitely NOT pregnant :) I have been very carefull, she's only just a year old anyway and that's far, far too young (even if she does like to think she's a little madam!), and she's not proven herself at working yet!

She should be ok but just keep an eye on her :)

She maybe going into a phantom so maybe the reason for the nipples being enlarged :)

As far as breeding is concerned, i'm not too sure yet. She is still a bit young to decide on whether she will be a good worker or not.

If i do breed from her, it won't be for another year or so (She's only just 1 year old), i'd like to give her a chance to fill out a bit more, she's really quite petite at the moment.

I'm hoping its not a phantom, just her hormones needing to calm down a bit!

Don't worry, some bitches can take up to 3 weeks for their teats to settle down again.
