Why don't you ask the breeder? Most good breeders are very happy to have the puppies back to strip them out or help you to do it yourself.

I've got a 6mth old balck Cocker bitch and she's really shaggy at the moment - her adult coat is just coming through but she's still got a lot of puppy coat on her. It's just not quite ready to pull :(
