If anyone in the UK is interested in a possible cocker party, have a look at the Zim family cockers site (can't link to it because of rules but you can google it!) - they are based in America but some of the forum members are from the UK and are thinking of planning a 'UK pupupalooza' - new UK members welcome! :-)

Hi Lucy
Had a look at the website, but not able to post as every time I try to register it closes the programme down.  Whislt being a bit miffed at being called miserable along with all of those champdoggers who had not yet responded to your mail (as this is the first time I have been online since you  posted), I will be happy to put a notice of the pupupalooza in the bredd notes in Our dogs, and will get Bev to do the same in Dog world, when you have a date and place fixed.  I am also the Co- ordinator for Rescue (Joyce in Sussex, who was mentioned, is just a contact number in the South for taking down rescue details) so I will give the details to our adopters, when you have things fixed.

Like Dawn, I am in the North East, so the London area is a bit far to travel, but it sounds like fun.  By the way, I did not receive an email from the batch sent out to breeders from e-pupz.

bye
Gwen

Sorry Gwen, didn't mean it seriously!

I've dropped an email to the club secretary too, and will let people know when we have a date fixed. Sorry it's too far for you both, if this one's a success we'll move it around next time! :-)

Might be a good idea to let the Home Counties Secretary know, as it is their area.  Don't forget to let me know if you want it in the dog papers.  Remember the deadlines , for Our Dogs I need it by a Thrusday evening ot get in for the following weeks paper, but the Dog World writer needs it a day or two earlier.

Hi Gwen,

We have a date at last - Saturday 24th June, 99% definite in Greenwich Park. No time yet, but probably late morning so we can do some fun agility and stuff before a picnic lunch (weather permitting!). I'd be really grateful if you could get something in the breed notes and perhaps the rescue people? Not sure if enough people are currently going to raise much money for them, although of course if a dozen people with rescue Yankees suddenly say they're coming we could do something!

Hi Lucy,  OK, will put something in the breed notes, and get Bev to do the same.  WE don't have any regular means of contacting the rescues adopters, but I will email those who have email addresses in the area.  Sounds like a fun day.

Fantastic - any suggestions of how to spend a bit of fun time would be great too! I'm bringing my agility equipment, but I expect most Yankees will be happy anywhere with smells to sniff, food to steal....! :-)
