OK.  I know I have enough to do - so why on earth have I suddenly become taken up with the idea of knitting again?

I've got some lovely, multi-coloured spangly, yarn that is more like a trim edging that wool - and I'm planning on knitting a blanket for baby Mackenzie - shall I finish it by next Thursday, I wonder?

Or will it join the rest of the yarn hiding in my big blanket chest??

LOL - I used to love knitting :) Arans were my favourite :) However, OH took to wearing a fleece and only wears the aran in VERY cold weather, so it hasn't seemed worth knitting another, especially as they take ages. My big problem was that I love knitting but hate sewing the garment up afterwards :D Perhaps when I have grandchildren I may take it up again :)

Good luck with your speed knitting, Margot :)

Knitting has started again in this house too thanks to all the lovely yarn around.  I can't count the number of scarves in various colours I have knitted and I did a beautiful sugary pink fluffly poncho for my small god daughter.

I was shocked when I went to see the doctor with a bad elbow and he diagnosed tennis elbow thanks to knitting!

I know just what Margot means - is there anyone who used to sew or knit who doesn't have a whole host of half made items, or spare material galore hidden somewhere?!!

With this long weekend you'll be done by Wednesday for sure. Oh you'll be so trendy. I saw on the news that all the university age students were getting into this. Any youths on the board have their needles? I think about pulling my needles out of the attic but then I know the yarn would stay hiding in my blanket chest right next to my wood turning tools and artist's supplies.
