Hi All,
We have a 6 year old SBT bitch, last night we noticed a lump on the back of her neck, its rather red and angry, its just under the skin and is not attached to anything underneath if you know what I mean. Any ideas what this could be? We dont want to rush to the vets straight away if we can treat it at home as we have just finished paying a £400 bill from the pyo she had in September (worth every penny though!!!) . Apart from the lump, in herself she is fine, and she doesnt grumble when you touch it
Any help would be appreciated

My 7 month old SBT has just had a tumour removed from her right back leg. This too looked red and angry and grew in size in a matter of 3 days.Luckily it was benign as cancer in young dogs is very rare.I first noticed the lump one night when she was lying on the sofa with me.It was only small and pink so I told myself I would keep an eye on it.Within three days it had grown so off we went to the vets.If I was you I would take her to the vet,as it is better to be safe than sorry.
Goodluck :)
