Hi peeps,

Now that Blues 12 months, should i still keep him on puppy food or should i put him over to Adult?

Ive got him on Aurtarky (hope i spelt that right lol) and going by the pack it doesnt mention changing to Adult at 12-24 months

When he was on Beta (i changed to Aurtarky a few months ago) the pack then said to change to Adult at about 12-18 months *i think*

Its just theres more flavour variety on the Adult food and the packs come in 15kg where as puppy only 10kg!

I remember my breeder said she changed her Danes onto Adult at around 10-12 months, just after a bit of advice really as i know this is a different kind of food :)

By the way, i dont mind keeping him on puppy if he shouldnt go over to Adult yet :)

I'd have him on Adult food by now but thats just me :)

If you feel your pup should still be getting puppy food until around the 18 month mark you could mix half puppy food and half adult food   This would give him the flavours of the adult food but still the nutritional value of the puppy food :D  I feed our 10 month old girl half puppy food & half junior food and will do this until she's 12 months old.  Then I'll wean her onto half junior and half adult.  I plan to keep her on that mix until she's around 16-18 months old when she'll be weaned totally onto adult as thats what I feel will be best for our pup :)  Whatever you decide to do gradually wean him over a period of 10-14 days (which I'm sure you'll be aware of already as you've changed foods before) :)

Thanks, yes i would definately do the change gradually and i do feel his ready now for adult :)
