I got up this morning to find her mouth and head were swollen. I immediately though sting or bite so gave her a dose of Piriton.Mike took her to see the vet first thing and he thinks it is a bite also so gave her a cortizone injection. Her face is still very swollen and she is very down. He suggested if she is still like this tomorrow we should bring her back.

Do you think the swelling should have gone down soon after the injection etc or will it take time ?

Oh Lucy! sorry Ive missed this earlier.. ditto JG's post..any news?
(Im not sure its comparable: But Ive had to have injections (in my bottom :( ) for a severe allergic reaction and Urticaria...and it did take well into the next day to go down.)

Thankfully by the time I got home at 6.30pm the swelling had finally gone down She is however very deflated and is not her normal Pudley self but hopefully after a good nights sleep she will be back to normal tomorrow :)

I have had a really good look around her and can't find anything that looks like a bite or sting

At least today Indigo has had her first visit to the vet today and from all accounts found it very interesting especially when the needle came out She had mouth wide open :D

Glad to hear Dudley is ok now. I remember last year when one of mine got stung, her face swelled twice the size took her to the vets in the afternoon and it only just went down late evening. Poor thing.

Oh poor Duds :(  hope she feels better soon....

Poor Dudley. I had my face and head swell to enormous proportions after a spider bite so I can empathize. I hope she's feeling better soon.
