Does anyone use these?  I am looking into getting one for my cav, just wondered if they are good.  I haven't shown my cav before so it is all a bit new as far as this breed goes.  Just wondered if anyone could advise on this...
Thanks

I think you mean a DryDog Coats ?

I use them & they are invaluable means my dogs can sleep in their usual legs in the air pose without having their costs sticking up the next day

They are great, I used Alfs for the first time this weekend and the difference it made to his coat was amazing (still got binned though :( )

Do their coats still breath though with these on?  I'd love to use one, but my boy has such a thick coat and feels the heat, I wondered if he would get too hot wearing one of these until his coat dried.

Sarah.

yes, its like a mesh material so has loads of holes in for breathing

You don't put them on when the coat is sopping wet but after they are partially dried

I use a blaster rather than a dryer/blaster on my dogs & when the coat feels & looks almost dry(on the back & side I use the drydog coat

I obviously fully dry the legs, chest. belly & ears

My Lou has a huge very dense coat(too much for my taste really)& he has no problem

The material is a mesh to allow the air to circulate & yet keep the coat flat

Thanks for that i did mean Drydog coats....I shall look into getting one they sound very well used and do the job.  My girl does tend to have little flicks on her coat as she too rolls around on her back.

Apologies for hijacking this subject a little but has anyone used the dri-bags that are made of absorbent towelling.  I think they have either a zip or velcro fastening and you pop your wet dog in straight after a bath  and the bag soaks up the moisture. At the moment, my dogs charge around after a bath, rubbing themselves dry against walls, furniture, people etc.   so any feed back - good or bad -  on these bags would be appreciated.

I have something similar, the towelling coat. Just a double layer bath robe that I put on him after a bath. It's great, he loves it and is relatively dry in a couple of hours (11 month old GR). He would hate the bag as he couldn't walk around. He's free to move around with the coat. You have some soggy paws sticking out but the bulk of the dog is wrapped up.

LOL I use Canac Dry Dog bags but i can't find anything on the net for them but I found this which is similar

They are brilliant. I zip the boys in whilst I dry their ears & they are the equivalent of towel dried when I come to dry the rest & they stop the boys moving around whilst I do their ears & as they are cavaliers their ears take the longest to dry ;)

Thanks for that link Moonmaiden.......That's exactly the sort of thing that what I was thinking of.

Lori, your towelling coat sounds good as well....but I quite like the idea of the dogs sitting snuggled up cosily, in front of the fire, while they are drying, which they probably wouldn't do if were still able to move about   So, I think that I'll order one of the dry bags and if they absolutely hate that,  then I can always try a towelling coat.

I got my drydog coat and tried it on my little girl cavie she looked really sorry for herself.......When i took it off she had a mad couple of mins..I guess we will have to take our time and build her up on wearing it, she had some treats and didn't mind them while she had it on.   I have cut some holes for her ears as my son said she looked like a seal with it on when her ears were inside...

My ex dog grooming freinds used to make towelling suits out of large bath towels where they would put the dogs to soak up most of the wet before being dried by a drier, and as they did it at home it kept their hall and stairs dry going from bathroom to the dog grooming room.
