do your dogs bark when they are playing with other dogs? mine does, hes a GSD and people look a bit alarmed but hes only barking when highly stimulated,what do yours do?

Mine bark if something is trying to avoid playing with them :D - usually coerces the previously disinterested dog to join in too :P

LOL - my older dog (part GSD) was doing that this afternoon. He always gets hyper if it's windy and he was barking madly at Tara (they were waiting to go out for a walk) - she went and hid under a shrub :D :D

Yep the Elkhounds play just like shepherds, vocal and lost of shoulder barging.

ours all 'shout' at each other when they are playing. :rolleyes:
they especially like shouting at those who aren't playing or have a particular toy that they think should now be theirs!

they knock lumps out of each other with the shoulder barging and boxing, and they love to chase each other round the kennel. they are really funny to watch especially when the top dog gets up and decides to give them all a telling off for getting too noisy and boisterous. 

Mine is a dobermann and it is really funny because he is very vocal when he plays with my friends bitch dobermann, she will play with him for a while and then she sits down and he barks at her and paws her to play.  He then gets fed up and will go and chase his ball.  She barks back at him and it is just like they are shouting at each other, it sounds awful.  The only other dog he is like it with is my friends bitch Rottweiller.

Mine plays surprisingly quietly given his tendency to be a gobby little so and so but will bark if he wants a game to continue.
