Hello,
do any of you use the Green loo (dog waste disposal system?) If you do what do you think? I have just recently set mine up and not sure whether it is the cold weather or just me

but it doesn't seem to be breaking down at all..... any ideas?
We used to have one and it was a load of **** :d :d

Mum had one of these (for the dog) and it just sat in the garden stinking and festering with a green odour emitting :D That part of the garden was a place where nobody went - even the dog :D
It really depends on your soil - clay soils won't drain as well, sandy soils are better. But in general these things do seem to struggle to cope with the productions of anything but a small single dog.

I have yet to hear one single endorsement of them :(

We used to have one, and it was a complete waste of money.

O.k thanks all, that sort of sums up my thoughts then! It says to flush through every 3 weeks for 1 large dog, now we have had it a week and it is full! so that can't be right, will stop filling now and go back to the usual method of poop bags  unless there are any other ideas out there?
We had one and all it did was entice the frogs. We had sixteen in it at one time!
I have a couple as I was told really one per dog is advisable as otherwise the toilet can't cope/. I find that mine work great. Don't have clay soil and good drainage. I did dig alot deeper hole and put broken brick in beforehand. Works a treat.

I think we do have quite clay soil here, so maybe thats what it is? I know that there is alot of gravel mixed in it (not sure what the people were doing before!) but maybe I will try your suggestion of digging a bigger hole all around..... I hate using bags as it isn't nice for the poor bin men (or us when we go to the bin) or maybe blade is just extra smelly
