I was not impressed by Ben Fogle thought he looked like he had just climbed out of bed after a couple of all night parties and was in the same grubby clothes he'd slept in!

Last year was good but this year??? Are we going back to the old bad routine of silly camera angles? Did wonder when I saw the bit on the American dog scene, when the bloke whose name I can't remember at the moment, was dressed up like some "B" Movie extra for a dectective plot.

Just wanted to say there is no such thing as a Crufts Champion (unless of course a dog wins his thrid CC at Crufts).

Winning at Crufts (except in Obedience) does not confer extra value ot the CC.

A dog could win Best In Show at Crufts and never ever become a champion (has happened in the past as some people choose to withdraw their dog from showing after such a win).

Also the winner could be from a breed that doesn't have Champion status in this country, so no matter how often it wins it cannot become a champion.

For example the Australian Shepherds and Malamutes which have done well at precious Crufts, placing in Groups are only getting CC's for the first time this year.

So there is no Supreme champuion, Crufts Champion etc.  there is simply Best In show :D

Ahem sorry Barbara but there is only one Crufts champion(well two a dog & a bitch ;) ) Not in conformation but the winners of the dog & bitch Crufts Obedience Championships are the only only Crufts Champions as the competition is officially a "Championship" competition to which all the Ob CC winners from the previous year are invited to complete for. Even if the dog/bitch has won only one previous CC after it wins the Crufts competition it is a Ob Champion by winning the Crufts Championship competition This has happened as recent as last year The GSD had only won one Ob CC before Crufts & his win made him up & he was retired

This has happened to quite a few dogs & handlers who have won with the dogs first appearance at crufts

Winning a third CC in any other competition does not make the dog a Crufts champion only a champion made up at crufts
