Didn't know actually where to put this but I just took under 2 minutes to train my 7 month old to hold a dummy, to retrieve a dummy and to sit and hold her dummy!

I can't believe it.  My other dogs I've spent months, even years to try and stop them throwing them at my feet and Carmen has literally picked it up in under 2 minutes :d

Maybe because she's not mine and is only staying with me a couple of weeks, but I'm so proud.

Took her to a show yesterday just to watch as although she's not a nervous dog she doesn't like people touching her but does if she asks them to only.

A man came up to me who had been watching her for half an hour and said what an extremely intelligent dog she is and how it would be interesting to see what she was like if she was worked.  A few people have said this now, so it looks like not only will I be doing obedience, agility, ringcraft and water training but I'd better start doing some gundog training with Carmen who belongs to my mum and dad.

I do have one problem though and people in the gundog world will laugh their heads off at her.  Instead of pointing at things she gets up on her back legs and waves with her front paws.  Any ideas on how I can stop this?  Serious replies PLEASE :d :d

Her obedience training isn't too bad, so I think I'll have to find out where the nearest gundog training is.  Just don't have enough time in the week to do everything though :d

Well done Carmen :)

I can only think that the paw lifting is just excitement. Maybe if she sees an older dog doing it properly she may realise what she is supposed to do ;) After all, at 7 months she really just wants to play :D
