Hi Karen,
Our puppy was on burns mini bites for about 6 months and then suddenly he went off this food. We tried the fish flavour burns but he wasn't having that eighter.
So on the recommendation of the lady in our local pet shop (coincidence! she said she feeds her dog Nutro too!!) I bought a 2kg bag of Nutro Choice chicken and rice and I mix it with a bit of Natural Diet and puppy loves it. He gets ever so excited and can't wait for his dinner, he jups for his food now, but he was never like this when he was on burns. Straight away we noticed his coat got softer and shinier and his poos got firmer (he use to have the occasional soft poo). So he's been on Nutro Choice for almost 3 weeks now and so far so good :-)

Hi MGR
thanks for your reply i am glad to hear that your dog is enjoying the nutro, i started the change over for my girl tonight and she seemed to love it (but then she would love the contents of a compost heap) but when i opened the bag i could not get her head out of it so i will see how it goes i hope it works because it is a messy job to clean up on our walks. what kind of puppy do you have ? and how long before you see the change ?.Hope you do not mind me asking many thanks Karen

Hi Karen,
We've got a miniature pinscher, he's nearly 12 months old.
We noticed a change in his poo the next day and within 3-4 days his coat got softer and shinier, however I brush his coat every day too.
Yesterday I forgot to buy more of the Nature Diet food so I added very little water in his Nutro and put it in the microwave for 10sec...he loved it!!! I fed him the same this morning. He's deffinitely a lot more enthusiastic about his food now that he's ever been before.Mind you Nutro does smell a lot better than Burns, doesn't it?
Let me know when you start noticing any changes.

Said it before, say it again....
I think Nutro is a fantastic food and it has to be one of the best smelling ones even to this vegetarian nose! So no wonder dogs love it!

Totally agree with you Christine,
I am a veggie too but i must say Nutro has a lovely meaty smell....still not missing meat through :-)
How long have you been feeding your dog/s Nutro?

At the moment I don't but I raised my 2nd litter on it from pre-conception through birth until Mia (The pup I kept ) was almost 2. That litter were born with the most fantastically shiny coats, very 'black & white' if you see what I mean (Good strong pigment) and even though I had a couple of littlies they caught up once they were weaned and one ended up with huge bone and such a chunky boy. :D

Hi
she is still a bit soft but a big change in the stool size so it shows there is not as much rubish in the food and the smell is good she is a bit slow eating but that is just the change, and know dog will starve it self so at the moment thumbs up

I've fed Nutro and I think it's an excellent quality food. My dogs improved on it. In my case I fed it for skin problems and it cleared them up :)

Try the lamb and rice rather then the chicken if the stools are soft. Sometimes chicken can do this where the lamb won't.

I too feed Nutro Natural choice lamb n'rice and my 4 are doing great on it.... Their poo has stayed the same unless I myself feed them something out of the ordinary, that was something I needed since one of mine was born with a rectal prolapse...Coming 3 years and so far so good on this food :) Plus if I use chicken they get the poo's real bad on it.

Hi everyone
today is our first full day on nutro the swap over is now complete ,toilet is a lot better but it appears a dark green colour ,which she was like when she was on tripe when she first came to us .I am wondering if this could be the meat content of the food but a lot eaiser to clean up ( thank god ,i dont need to take 6 bags on our walk ,) and i do not no if the food would do this but she seems to be a lot more calm in her self ( still a pain but a calm one ) very pleased upto now many thanks

Just persevere and see how her poo's do over the next fortnight - I'm sure they'll settle down :)
