has anyone any tips on how i can improve my youngsters show stand?  his is a free standing breed and although he can stand correctly he can also stand a touch cow hocked sometimes, think he is just lazy as he does not move cow hocked!  any idea on how can i improve this without physically stacking him??
although he does not move cow hocked he does move a little close behind which i was told would improve with muscling and maturity, he is still a baby, only just out of junior!  so any ideas on what would be the best way to improve this?  he has been doing a little work in harness over the winter but obviously it is not the right kind to improve his movement for the ring, am i better doing more road work at a trot and will uphills be better to strengthen his rear?

i would practise at home stacking him and then free stand so he is used to where you want the legs when he stands, dont give him his treat until the legs are in the right place

have tried to stack him but as soon as i go to move his back legs he thinks its a game and starts jumping around and playing up.  he can free stand beatifully when he wants to, just never when i need him too!
