Sorry people, just felt like you lot might be best to put up with my moaning! I am currently supposed to be in Wisbech stewarding for my best friend at the Isle of Ely show. I've been looking forward to it for more than 6 months, and she had a really good entry, with lots of class winner awards as it's their anniversary show or something, and some of my other friends were coming so I could have caught up with them afterwards. But first the M11 was closed so I had to make a huge detour south and then back north, and then as I was stationary in a traffic jam, a load of cars behind me started shunting each other and I got caught on the rear right corner. I know I know, the important thing is that neither me or anyone else was hurt and the car was drivable to get it home. But by the time I had finished exchanging details and was cleared by the police to go, there was no way in the world I would have made it for start of judging, even if I had thought it safe to drive 2 hours with a car with no indicator or brake lights at the right rear. I am just SO mad that of all the shows I could have missed, it was this show that all my friends were going to - and I let down my friend who was expecting me to steward. Sorry for the rant!!

I'd be hacked off too. :( What a rotten shame. :(

Thanks JG - I know in the grand scheme of things it's a minor disappointment, but....!

Edit: just had a text from one of my friends who had entered her dogs, but got there only to find they hadn't received it, so she had an even more annoying day! Perhaps the show is cursed - for us anyway! :-(

We were supposed to be there but my husband was taken into hospital yesterday, and was to be operated on today, but have to stabalise his heart before they can carry on

Hence sitting here at after 1 am, I never really realised how much he did not the work with the dogs.
