hi all had a lady come into my parlor the other wants her gbgv handstripped never groomed one before and i would like to know where u stripp.

Hi as far as I know they shouldn't be stripped??? But I may be wrong(unusual I know!!! LOL) If they are stripped it would just be lightly to tidy them up? All the best, Dawn

They aren't stripped - just tidied up.  The top of the head and ears is all you touch.  Obviously all the dead coat (if there is any) should be removed but nothing else.

Hi there, i've got to admit we handstrip our gbgv but it is to just tidy him up here and there.  He has a really shaggy coat which means he can look like a sheep on steroids if we leave him totally natural :eek:
When they are pups and get to approx 8 months old some people advise that they should be stripped then in order to get a good adult coat.

We have PBGVs and i know of breeders of Grands and have been told by them that if you brush the coat the wrong way take anything that sticks up
