Hi Guys,

Just wondered if any of you breeders have had any siamese twin puppies in your litters? The vets where i worked had to perform a C Section on a staffy and found a set of siamese twins, and i wondered how uncommon this is?

I dont suppose it helped that the mother was nearly 7 years old and so was the father  Infact they had identical birth dates so could of been brother and sister!

Assuming the mechanics are similar to humans I don't think siamese twins are genetic are they? Although identical (monozygotic) twins are, siamese twins are just a quirk of nature where the MZ split egg doesn't separate properly.
