Was wondering if someone could recommend a good animal artist, use to have a link for one but have lost it...preferably one that specialises in dogs..

i know someone but have only got an email address for him. No pictures of his work yet but have emailed him asking for it. will let you know when i get a reply :) He is brilliant and captures the essence of the animal. Just waiting to get a nice day to take pictures of my dogs so he can paint them. :)

Somebody had a pastel portrait done of my shar-pei for me by the above artist and I couldn't believe how good it was. It was done from a tiny photo about 2 inches square and to be honest I wasn't holding out much hope of it being any good, but I was gobsmacked at the likeness when I received it. He's captured the look in her eye so well it's like he knew her.

I dont know if you specifically want someone in the UK.
But if location isnt a problem my mother is a fantastic animal artist - all mediums too

A friend of mine does this for a living - I think she's great, she's done my girls - she either works in pencil or couloured pastels.  Her website is www.animal-portraits.org  Hope that's of help.
