Topic Dog Boards / General / Grooming table (which one).

Hi

Can anyone give me any help on grooming tables.

I am looking to buy one (probably electric) but also considering hydraulic.  I am looking round about the £600, could go a little higher.   I want the table for larger dogs so it has to be a good working size.  I have looked at several on different web sites, but it is hard to know which one rates higher than the rest.  So thought some of you might have one - and be able to offer help.

Many Thanks
Lesley

Simpsons I would say you can go past.

I find that moving tables are OK for training your own large dogs, but to put strange large dogs onto them, as in a grooming parlour situation,  is a BIG problem!  They panic and even with a restraining frame, you need all available hands on deck as you raise it and for some time afterwards to calm the dog down.

Hi

It is for my own dogs.  I had a back injury so lifting is a no no for the time being.  My dogs are well used to be lifted onto the table to be groomed.  I know it will take a while for them to accept a moving table.  I intend to just let them get used to it (with some treats) before I start to trim them on it.

I asked for a Simpsons cat as their website does not seem to be working.

Thanks
Lesley
