Hello.
My second Timberwolf lead has fell to bits! I thought the first was just a one off, but now the second, has anyone else had problems? I  bought it at LKA, so can't return it. The problem is the outer sheaf slides off the webbing inside from the clip end, gradually making the lead longer and apart from being unsafe, it looks awful!

Has anyone got suggestions for a simular lead? I like leather leads, but take ages to supple up, which was why i chose Timberwolf.

No idea, but I'll ask my boss where she got hers - she has some gorgeous rolled leather leads that she's had for almost 20 years now, with no wear and tear issues.  They were expensive, so she says, but if they last they long I'd say it's a good investment!

Hi there,
I got a couple of leads from a really nice lady in Canada.  They soften up really quickly, are really good quality and reasonalbly cheap.  I've been using them for a few months now with no problems whatsoever.

I had a red Timberwolf for my Dalmatian.  I remember standing at a Champ show one day and the heavens opened.  He started turning pink before my eyes

It was lucky we had already been in the ring, very embarrassing for the rest of the day though.

I found the company very unhelpful when I complained.  All they would offer me was a replacement, didn't want to know it was not waterproof

My timberwolf collar was a touch stretchey, i felt it gave a bit when the dog pulled, it was binned fairly quickly. not impressed  :(

They had some grim looking pinch collars too, whoever would use such horrible things - poor dog

Fortunately, they're not used v. much in this country though Pat, and I would certainly not condone the use of them, but their leads are superb!!

these look like lovely leads / collars, and i've seen them mentioned before on here. I have bog standard nylon ones with padded handles, so don't have a clue about if they're any good!

I love my dog's Timberwolf collar, it's pretty sturdy, though admittedly he only wears it when he's in the park as my young bitch eats all collars! And it matches his fur perfectly! :-)

I worked in a petshop when ancol first bought out the timberwolf leads, we had to remove the red/pink ones from sale because of the amount of complaints we got about the dye running

Munkeemoio I bought my GR an accolade rolled collar in November. So far so good though a little of the dye seems to rub off when he goes in the ocean - not badly, he just looks like he has a dirty neck. Hmm, knowing Milo maybe he did. LOL. I bought black since I thought it would be a nice contrast for his coat. The people there are very friendly and helpful - Milo is a puppy so they made the length and hole spacing to accomodate his growth.
