I use a work mate, a 3' x 2' piece of wood with a baton in the middle underneath that the work mate is clamped onto. And car mat on top. Works brilliantly :D
Only problem is the thing the lead attatches to, but you can buy them seperatly.
Not brilliant if you are doing it proffesionally but if it is only for one dog it works a treat :)
Lea :)

Try e-bay, afew normally there. Last year I was looking for a table just never one big enough on e-bay!

I would check that it has adjustable height. If you work too high or too low, you'll strain your back. You need to fix your table the right height for you.
Price is very good but I can't see any adjustment.
Is it to take to shows or to work on at home?

Thats a good point Val. My parents brought me a table with adjustable height, I've just always taken it for granted but because I'm so tall I can have it higher then standard when trimming feet and lower then normal when I'm drying backs of setters! Hopefully when I get older I won't be so cripple! :D

you cannot change the height it is 33" high and i am 5ft 4 do you think this would be ok or for an extra £25 i can get an ajustable height table.

For trimming a Cocker you need a bench that is

I'm 5'2". I work on 31" for large dogs and 39" for small dogs - Cockers. So if you are 2" taller, then 33" would be OK for large dogs but too low for a Cocker.
If it's only for at home, then a piece of kitchen worktop, fixed to the wall of a shed or garage with a batten and 2 wardrobe hanging rails for front legs, would be a quick and easy option.

My Oh made my table I use in the grooming room from a 1000 kitchen base unit. new one with the drawers. he put the rubber top on for me and wheels. It is perfect. I can through it around the room as it is on wheels.
Be careful on e-bay , don't know the username but one of our champdog members had terrible troubles getting her table
